Manufacturing is the backbone of many economies. In times of turbulence, global challenges and changing paradigms, from cost orientation to adding value and sustainability, the future of manufacturing de - pends on research. The organisers are very pleased and proud to present the ideas of leading scientific experts world - wide, involved in research and development of factories, technologies and management. Organized to mark the occasion of the 75th Anni versary of the Institute of Industrial Manufacturing and Management (IFF), the conference „Intelligent Production Systems of the Future“, is designed to explore and present paths towards competitive and sustainable manufacturing. The efficient transformation of resources and especially of energy and material to products with the most valuable resource knowledge will change manufacturing towards “intelligent manufacturing”.
