"Performance Optimization of Polymer NanoComposites". In 2006, research institutions and companies from the Austrian polymer industry joined forces under the overall leadership of the Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH (PCCL) to form the research cluster known as NanoComp – Performance Optimization of Polymer NanoComposites. The overriding objective of the research activities is to develop expertise in the field of polymer nanocomposites. The possibilities that result from the use of polymerbased nanocomposites will be used to develop new materials and products, and to open up new markets in order to increase the competitiveness of the partner companies.
